The dissolution of the state’s executive boards, agencies, and parastatals with immediate effect was agreed by the Edo State Government on Wednesday.

The Chief Press Secretary informed Governor Fred Itua of this in a statement.

According to Itua, the governor has directed all impacted appointees to turn up all government assets they own to the highest ranking official in their departments, ministries, and agencies.

The statement said, “It is now announced for the general public’s information that the executives of all boards, agencies, and parastatals in the Edo State Public Service have been dissolved with immediate effect by the governor of Edo State, Senator Monday Okpebholo.

Furthermore, all political appointees and permanent secretaries appointed from outside the state public or civil service are hereby stripped of their positions.

As a result, all impacted appointees must turn over all government assets they own to the highest ranking official in their departments, ministries, and organisations.
