Edo State Governor, Monday Okpebholo, is set to inaugurate the Ehi-Agenmonmen Business Administration E-Library and flag off the construction of a state-of-the-art health centre and an ultra-modern fitness centre at Edo State University Iyamho on Monday.

The projects form part of the state government’s broader effort to strengthen infrastructure and improve learning facilities at the institution.

The E-Library was donated by businessman and philanthropist Ehi Agenmonmen, while the fitness centre is being funded by another philanthropist, Peter Omoh Dunia.

As part of his itinerary, the governor will also commission the newly renovated Auchi College, a project facilitated by Dunia.

The proposed health centre was initiated by the university’s Vice-Chancellor, Victor O. Adetimirin, who contributed his first full month’s salary to kick-start the project.

Additional support has come from an engineer and parent, Saliu Lawal, who funded the architectural designs for the facility.

A dedicated account has been opened to receive donations from parents, alumni, and other stakeholders to support the construction and equipping of the health centre.

Prof. Adetimirin said the facility is expected to significantly improve healthcare services for both students and staff, while appealing to individuals and organisations to contribute towards its completion.
