Monday Okpebholo, Governor of Edo State, has appointed Mr. Andrew Momodu as a commissioner-designate.
If confirmed by the Edo State House of Assembly, the appointment will increase the number of commissioners in Governor Okpebholo’s Executive Council to 29.
The appointment was announced in a statement issued by the Secretary to the State Government, Musa Ikhilor, who described Momodu as a seasoned political administrator and public affairs practitioner with extensive experience in governance, security coordination, and democratic engagement.
According to the statement, Momodu has held several strategic positions within government and political structures over the years. He previously served as Special Adviser on Security and Public Order and also contested for a House of Representatives seat, though unsuccessfully.
The statement said:
“Governor Okphebolo remains committed to assembling a team of competent and visionary leaders to drive the administration’s agenda of sustainable growth, inclusive development and improved service delivery across the state.”
