A newly constructed police station has been commissioned in Emaudo, Ekpoma, as part of efforts to strengthen security infrastructure and enhance effective policing across Edo State.
The facility, built by Chief Jimoh Jacob, was officially inaugurated on February 26. During the ceremony, the station was formally handed over to the Commissioner of Police, Edo State Command, Monday Agbonika.

In addition to the building, several operational assets were donated to improve mobility and service delivery. These include a Toyota Sienna vehicle, a Toyota Hilux patrol vehicle, a motorcycle designated for rapid response operations, and a generator set to ensure uninterrupted power supply at the station.
The commissioning ceremony was attended by high chiefs, community elders, and senior government officials from Ekpoma, Emaudo and surrounding communities.
The development is expected to enhance security presence and response capacity within the area.
