The discovery of five dead bodies in their room caused unrest in the Afashio community in Uzairue, Etsako West Local Government Area of Edo State. Three of the victims, including the girl, were their acquaintances, while two of the victims were brothers. According to reports, the five people died in what has been called a “mysterious circumstance” sometime last week.
A neighborhood source claims that family members found the victims’ lifeless bodies when they decided to check on them after seeing they had not yet left the room. The source, who wished to remain anonymous, stated that since there was no evidence of an assault or markings on them, food poisoning was thought to be the cause of death.
Even when family members were attempting to determine the reason of their death, the incident was reportedly reported to the Jattu police division. Moses Yamu, the spokesperson for the Edo State Command, verified the event when reached. “The Command is aware,” he stated. The cause of death is still being investigated.
