The Chairmanship aspirant of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Etsako Central Local Government Area, Hon. Goodluck Momodu, has pledged to prioritize youth and women empowerment if elected Chairman of the Council.
Speaking on Friday, Momodu assured residents that development would extend to every ward under his leadership, emphasizing inclusive governance and grassroots impact.
Widely regarded as a leading aspirant in the race, he outlined plans to create opportunities for young people and women through skills acquisition programmes, business support initiatives, and deliberate economic inclusion policies.
According to him, empowering youths and women is fundamental to sustainable development in Etsako Central, noting that meaningful progress cannot be achieved if the productive segment of the population is neglected.
“I will empower our youths and women with practical skills, financial support, and real opportunities to grow. We must create jobs, support small businesses, and attract production factories that will generate employment and revenue for our local government,” he said.
The aspirant further stated that his administration would invest significantly in agriculture, with the goal of positioning Etsako Central as a food production hub capable of generating wealth for farmers and strengthening the local economy.
The chairmanship hopeful also assured residents of improved security, pledging to collaborate closely with security agencies and community leaders to address insecurity and ensure that citizens can “sleep with their two eyes closed.”
