A House of Representatives aspirant in Edo State, Dr. Oghogho Taiye Garrick, has announced plans to sponsor 10,000 secondary school students in Egor and Ikpoba-Okha Federal Constituency through full access to SabiDub, a digital learning platform.
Garrick said the initiative is part of his commitment to promoting youth development and improving access to quality education in the constituency.
He explained that the programme is aimed at equipping students with essential academic and digital skills needed to thrive in a technology-driven environment.
According to him, access to quality education is key to national development, adding that the SabiDub platform will offer structured learning materials, interactive tools, and academic support to beneficiaries.
Garrick, a public administration specialist and international business professional, has over 18 years of experience across Nigeria and the United Kingdom.
He holds a PhD in Public Administration and a Master’s degree in Policy Analysis, and previously served as Special Assistant in the Office of the Special Adviser to the President on Policy and Programmes Monitoring, where he contributed to policy implementation and evaluation.
In the private sector, he has built a presence across multiple industries, serving on the boards of companies in aviation, healthcare, and real estate. He also founded three healthcare firms in the United Kingdom, which employ over 200 people.
He reaffirmed that education remains central to his vision for the constituency, noting that the initiative is intended to create opportunities for young people and prepare them for future success.
Residents and stakeholders in the constituency are expected to benefit as plans for the rollout of the programme progress.
