Residents of Oluku Ward in Ovia North East Local Government Area have commended Hon. Charity Iguodala Aiguobarueghian, Minority Leader of the Edo State House of Assembly, for donating a 500kVA transformer to Igue-Iheya Community and commissioning a newly built secondary school in Okhunmwun Community.
The transformer donation is expected to significantly improve electricity supply in Igue-Iheya, easing power challenges faced by households and businesses in the area.
Speaking during the presentation, Hon. Aiguobarueghian, who represents Ovia North East I Constituency, stated that the project reflects his commitment to serving the people who entrusted him with leadership. He assured residents that more initiatives aimed at improving living standards and supporting community development would follow.
As part of the visit, the lawmaker also commissioned a fully furnished six-classroom secondary school in Okhunmwun Community. The new facility is expected to expand access to quality education for students within the ward.
Since assuming office, Hon. Aiguobarueghian has reportedly constructed and commissioned eight schools across Ovia North East I Constituency, strengthening educational infrastructure and creating better learning environments for young people.
His recent interventions also include the donation of 50 three-seater chairs to Eresoyen Primary School and the sponsorship of 182 students for the 2025/2026 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WAEC).
Community leaders and residents who attended the events described the projects as impactful, noting that they reflect a strong commitment to education, youth empowerment, and overall community development.
