Edo Governor Monday Okpebholo has authorised a small reorganisation of the State Executive Council.
Musa Ikhilor, Secretary to the State Government (SSG), signed a statement on Friday in Benin that includes this information.
Ikhilor said the action was part of continuous efforts to strengthen governance, boost service delivery, and encourage more efficiency in the management of state affairs.
“In furtherance of this decision, the following changes have been approved: Mr Vincent Osas Uwadiae, the Commissioner for Oil and Gas Resources, has been redeployed to the Ministry of Lands and Housing as Commissioner.”
“Also, Mr Yakubu Oshiorenua Musa, Commissioner for Lands and Housing, is appointed as Chief of Staff to the Governor, Governor’s Office.”
“Alhaji Gani Audu, Chief of Staff to the Governor, is nominated to resume as Commissioner for Oil and Gas Resources, subject to confirmation by the Edo House of Assembly.”
This small cabinet reorganisation takes effect right away, according to SSG.
Ikhilor observed that the governor expressed confidence that these strategic revisions will further increase coordination, policy implementation, and effective government in the state.
