The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Edo State, Jarrett Tenebe, has congratulated Nentawe Yilwatda on his emergence as the National Chairman of the ruling party.

Yilwatda, along with members of the National Working Committee, was returned unopposed by more than 8,000 delegates during the party’s convention held over the weekend.

In a statement personally signed by him on Sunday, Tenebe described the process leading to Yilwatda’s emergence as transparent, noting that it reflected the trust and confidence party members have in his leadership.

“On behalf of the leadership and entire membership of the All Progressives Congress in Edo State, I extend my heartfelt congratulations on your well-earned election as the National Chairman of our great party” his statement partly read.

He stated that the strong backing from delegates highlighted Yilwatda’s experience and dedication to the party’s core values.

“Your emergence, backed by the overwhelming mandate of party delegates, is a strong testament to the trust and confidence placed in your leadership, vast experience, and steadfast dedication to the growth and ideals of the APC,” Tenebe added.

Tenebe noted that Yilwatda’s emergence comes at a critical period in the country’s political landscape, expressing hope that his leadership would provide stability and clear direction for the party.

“At this pivotal moment in our nation’s political landscape, your leadership inspires renewed optimism, stability, and clear strategic direction for the APC at all levels,” he continued.

He also assured the newly constituted National Working Committee of the loyalty and support of the Edo State chapter of the party.

“We are optimistic that under your stewardship, the party will continue to strengthen its structures, promote internal democracy, and uphold its commitment to delivering meaningful progress to the Nigerian people,” he concluded.

Tenebe further expressed confidence that the party would record greater achievements under Yilwatda’s leadership.
