The Edo State Government has pledged support for Kanyeyachukwu Tagbo-Okeke, a world-renowned autistic cycling champion.

The Commissioner for Youth Affairs, Hon. Charity Amayaenvbo, made this known on Thursday when members of the Riding for Autism team paid a courtesy visit to his office in Benin City.

He said Governor Monday Okpebholo and residents of the state are proud of Kanyeyachukwu’s accomplishments in cycling and painting, describing him as a source of inspiration to young people.

“His journey is not just about cycling; it is about courage, resilience and possibility. As a government, we are proud of him and we support him. We believe his story will inspire millions.

“We commend his courage and assure him of our moral support as he embarks on this historic cycling journey,” the commissioner said.

The cycling team is scheduled to continue its journey with a ride to Ore, before proceeding to Abeokuta and concluding in Lagos.
