The Amb. Precious Topa has announced plans to mobilise students of Edo State origin across tertiary institutions nationwide in support of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election bid.

Topa said the initiative complements efforts to fulfil the pledge of the Monday Okpebholo to deliver 2.5 million votes for the President in the upcoming election. He made the announcement on Monday at Ambrose Alli University during a meeting with the coalition’s newly appointed canvassers.

Addressing the group, Topa urged canvassers to demonstrate commitment and diligence, directing them to engage students across all parts of their campuses to secure broad-based support.

He emphasised that the mobilisation drive is not solely political but also reflects appreciation for the Tinubu administration’s policies, particularly the student loan programme, which he described as a landmark initiative in the education sector.

Topa also commended Governor Okpebholo’s infrastructural achievements across Edo State, noting that such developments enhance the coalition’s appeal among young voters.

According to him, the combination of federal and state-level interventions presents a strong case for continuity, and students remain a key demographic for achieving the targeted votes.

He concluded by urging the canvassers to act as ambassadors for the coalition, ensuring its message reaches Edo students in tertiary institutions nationwide.
